Introducing The No Matter What

The No Matter What launches today with a range of events for anyone caring for and about children who have experienced trauma.

We are a team experienced in children’s social care, residential care, foster care, adoption and therapeutic practice established by author of No Matter What, Sally Donovan.

Our events are designed to be useful, cost-effective and enjoyable and are built on research and best practice. As our name suggests, we believe in supporting children to develop and heal within enduring, accepting relationships. It sounds easy, but we know it isn’t. We’ve all walked the walk within our homes and families.

We are based in South West England and aim to reach its nooks and crannies with real life events in a variety of locations.  Our first events will be held in Frome and Exeter, at a safe distance and with the windows open. Whilst the region enjoys relatively relaxed restrictions compared to the some parts of the country our mantra will be ‘bring a mask, a coat and a flask’.  Despite the restrictions, our events will be welcoming and will give opportunities to network.

Our virtual events are the ultimate in COVID-security and at £8 a ticket are priced with an understanding of the economic pressures facing many. We hold frequent events on subjects such as planning good transitions in care, therapeutic parenting and supporting children in crisis.

Whether you’re training for a new career, considering fostering or adoption, wanting to develop your skills and knowledge, or in need of a bit of extra sustenance and support,  keep an eye on our developing list of events or sign up for our newsletter.
